About Me

Hi there! Thanks for dropping by.   If you are curious to know who I am, then please read this short story of mine.

The name's Cecille and I am from the Philippines. I am a freelance writer/virtual assistant  of foreign clients since 2011. I love writing about anything under the sun, most especially if it is about parenting, pregnancy, money-making opportunities online, and fashion. However,  I also had a rough start , most probably because I don't really know that I can support my kids just by sitting here in front of my laptop and writing about random things.

It all started when an old friend told me about "pay-to-click" and captcha sites. In all fairness, I earned a few bucks (or should I say cents) from those sites but if you ask me, you cannot rely on this method since most of them are not paying their members or require certain amounts of investments in order for them to work for you. That being said, I stopped on clicking ads and then focused on forum posting.

When I was starting on paid-to-post, I earned as much as $5 a day. That was from 8am to 11pm, which means I basically spend less time for my family. As time goes on, the forums were lesser and so were my earnings so I decided to find other ways of making money online. And that was when I discovered article writing.

I still remember how happy I was upon seeing my first 600-word article approved on that site. That was an instant $6 so I continued and earned as much as $90+ per week. I then realized that this is the job that I wanted and thought that I could continue on living doing this. However, something came up and the site decided to ban some IP's from users of certain countries. And unfortunately, I was included in the ban. That was very unfortunate, I know, so I desperately searched for my articles online to see if I could reconnect with my loyal clients and ask them to hire me as a writer. Luckily, I found all of them easily and I got a few projects every now and then.

One day, I got a job offer from Odesk.com. I was skeptical at first, thinking I won't be able to accomplish 2 jobs at a time. But I took this as a challenge and surprisingly, I managed to do everything, earn at least $500 per month, and rest for at least once a week.

At the moment, I am working for a Russian employer that I met on Odesk. I work for him 5 hours per day, which for me is good enough. The pay will not make me rich, but for me, an earning is an earning no matter how small it is.

What I learned from my experiences is that nothing is impossible as long as you strive hard and are determined to achieve something in life. I also learned that giving up should be our last resort, and patience and diligence really pay off if you will just continue to practice both.

So, there you have my not-so-successful story. LOL! Again, thank you for reading. Cheers!
